Freckle Pony Set
Freckle Pony Wine is a celebration of the Appaloosa horse breed and one of the greatest men God has ever blessed the world with.
About 8 years ago, I came across a Craigslist ad for a little sorrel Appaloosa filly on a named Dancing Peach. The moment I saw her ad, I just knew, I had to bring her home. Since then, she has grown into a big, beautiful Appaloosa mare with a copper base coat, lots of varnishing and a huge blanket of white, covered in big shadowed black spots. (Yes, that is her blanket you see on the bottle!)
When Peach first met her farrier, Sean Robertson, she had really never had anyone work on her feet so she was scared and being obnoxious. As was his nature, Sean remained patient and gentle with her but got a kick out of teasing her, “It’s ok. Just settle down, Freckle Pony. Promise, I’m not a horse-eater and you’re fine. ”. That was just Sean. Sarcastic, one liners, coming from a heart of pure sparkling gold!
Fast forward to December 2021… On his way to see his wife, the love of his life, Sean was in a tragic car accident. The accident paralyzed him from the neck down and ultimately took him from everyone who loved him. So, in memory of Sean Robertson, we give you Freckle Pony.
~In loving memory of Sean Robertson, Freckle Pony misses you.~
